First Android game, made as commission for a client
Alongide Digystopia, I was also busy working with a client who was planning to organize a side event for the 10 Miles, except with the rule that people need to stay focussed on their phones by completing tasks while trying not to strike out or go to slow, also in order to spread awareness for phone usage in traffic, and for a fun event to both participate in, and spectate. This idea was pitched as a “SmombieRun”.
The aim was to set up a server for organizations to setup SmombieRun events which participants could register for in advance. On the event day, players would log in with their start number and a room code. During the race, they'd complete tasks on their phones while racing towards the finish line, avoiding mistakes to stay in the game.
The project was eventually pitched to Gemeente Breda, who were interested in investing in order to realise a more developed final product.
